A new look for a new strategy

After 20 years of successfully providing early childhood educators with the tools they need to teach their students, Teaching Strategies asked Propellor to re-energize and re-organize their brand. The identity was designed to reinforce the Teaching Strategies brand name, clearly show administrators and legislators how the fully integrated Teaching Strategies system worked together, and begin to sell the system as a whole.

Materials for teachers not children

The early childhood education field is crowded with visuals of cartoon animals, crayon textures, and rainbow colors. We created a more sophisticated brand that spoke about early childhood, but to an adult audience. After all, Teaching Strategies’ products were for teachers, not for children.

Inspiring educators

To help build confidence in educators, and show appreciation for the vital role they play, we used famous quotes about the importance of education throughout the brand. They appear in brochures, exhibits, on the website and even throughout the Teaching Strategies office space.

Recording action when it happens

We were asked to extend the Teaching Strategies brand to an application that records children’s actions (when they happen) and helps teachers in making assessments later on.

Following the launch, the new brand was well received by current customers, and instrumental in gaining entrance into entire state-wide preschool programs.
